At the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, India successfully defended a target of 299 runs, defeating South Africa by 52 runs to secure their first Women's World Cup title on November 2.
"It feels incredible to finally lift the World Cup trophy after such a long wait. One must never lose hope," Sneh Rana remarked.

Throughout the World Cup, Sneh showcased her skills, finishing with seven wickets across six matches, averaging 45, with her best bowling figures being 2/32. Additionally, she contributed significantly with the bat, amassing 99 runs in six innings at an impressive average of 49.50.

After years of striving for the ICC Women's World Cup, India finally realized their dream, overcoming past disappointments in the finals of 2005 and 2017. Their clinical performance against South Africa, highlighted by Shafali Verma's 87 runs and 2/36 bowling figures, along with Deepti Sharma's 58 runs and 5/39 bowling, will be remembered as a source of inspiration for future cricketers.

With this victory, India joins the elite group of ICC Women's Cricket World Cup winners, alongside Australia, England, and New Zealand, achieving this milestone for the first time on home soil.
